Using a 3G Modem to connect to the Internet
Billion’s extensive range of 3G WiFi and wired routers lets you share your 3G mobile broadband wherever you are. At home, in the office, at an exhibition or show – even in the car. Simply plug your USB 3G dongle, stick or card into the back of the router and away you go. Works with 3 Mobile, T-Mobile, Vodafone, Orange and O2 3G networks.

Using 3G for ADSL/Broadband Backup (Failover)
You can even use your 3G Mobile Broadband as a back-up to your fixed line ADSL using Billion’s Auto-failover mode – if your fixed line goes down, the router will automatically failover to 3G Broadband, and even switch back to ADSL when your line is back up – ideal for businesses needing 24/7 uptime for email and internet.

Create your own portable hotspot! Enjoy the freedom of secure, high-speed Internet connectivity at the home, office, or while on the road with Billion's compact BiPAC 7402GX dual-interface ADSL2+/3G firewall router. Wired connections can benefit from the ADSL2+ standard’s flexibility, offering download speeds of up to 24Mbps using a standard telephone connection, while wireless connections profit from download speeds up to 14.4Mbps* delivered via 3G/HSDPA, EDGE, UMTS or GPRS networks.

The BiPAC 7402GX is equipped with a built-in 4-port full-duplex 10/100 Switch to allow easy connecting of other wired-Ethernet devices. Directly connect up to four PCs, or additional hubs or switches to create a larger network as needed. Use the integrated Router function and a USB port to share a blistering ADSL2+ or 3G-based Internet connection (requires an additional 3G USB modem), with automatic fail-over to ensure an always-on Internet connection in the event that one of your Internet services fails.

The BiPAC 7402GX can also encode all 802.11g wireless LAN transmissions with either WEP or WPA encryption to ensure that your data is protected, and boasts a DHCP Server and a powerful SPI firewall to protect against intruders and most known Internet attacks. Secure WLAN setup is simplified by the web browser-based configuration for easy access to the Internet wherever a 3G connection is available - whether you're seated at your desk or taking a cross-country train trip.

3G USB Dongles - updated 11 March 2009
	The ZTE MF622 and Huawei E160 & E156 USB dongles are available from 3. For a monthly contract YOU MUST SPECIFICALLY ASK FOR EITHER THE ZTE MF622 or the Huawei E160 or you will be given the ZTE MF627 by default, which is NOT currently certified for use with Billion routers. For PAYG the Huawei E156 is supplied by default.
	The Huawei K3520 USB dongle is available from Vodafone. The K3520 is called the "USB Modem Stick" by Vodafone and is NOT the "USB Modem Stick - Pro"
	The Huawei E160 and Option Icon 225 (3.4Mbps version) USB dongles are available from Orange. Where Orange offer a "free" 3G USB dongle they supply the Option Icon 225 otherwise they will supply the Huawei E160.
	None of the currently supplied USB dongles available from T-Mobile or O2 are certified for use with Billion routers.
Older USB 3G dongles	Huawei E220 will work with Vodafone, 3 and T-Mobile. Sierra Wireless 880U and 885 dongles will work with O2 Huawei E169 will work with 3
